    Our research group employs a multidisciplinary approach at the interface of chemistry and biology to decipher the molecular insights of life and decode complex pharmacological mechanisms. By synergizing methodologies from Phytochemistry, (Bio)Analytical Chemistry, Plant Extracellular Vesicle Biochemistry, Sustainable Solvents (Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents), and Biological Mass Spectrometry (Proteomics, Metabolomics, and Lipidomics), supported by integrated in silico, in vitro, and in vivo models, we drive innovation in therapeutics development. Core Research Domains: Theme 1: Plant Extracellular Vesicles (PEVs): Next-Generation Natural Nanomedicine Platform Exploitation of plant-derived extracellular vesicles for targeted drug delivery, biomolecular cargo profiling, and nanomedicine applications. Theme 2: Smart NADES and THEDES - Design and application of Smart Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (Smart NADES) and Therapeutic Deep Eutectic Solvents (THEDES) for sustainable extraction, stabilization, and enhanced delivery of bioactive molecules. Theme 3: AI-enabled Bioactivity-Guided Discovery Platform for Next Generation Botanical Drugs - Develop an integrated AI platform that predicts active phytochemicals before purification. Theme 4: Deciphering the Disease Mechanism and biomarkers - A Mass Spectrometry-based approach to understand the molecular events of disease by exploring MHC-peptidome, sub-cellular organelles, and Extracellular Vesicles to identify specific therapeutic targets and clinical biomarkers.
