Name : Rakesh Kumar Shukla Designation : SC-GR-IV (I) Address : Plant Biotechnology Division E. mail : rk.shukla@cimap.res.in Contact No : 09838653840 Epabx No. : 431 Download Resume Area of Specialization Our research interest is to understand the transcriptional regulation of secondary metabolism in medicinal plants. We are characterizing transcription factors, small RNA and pathway enzymes to decipher the metabolic pathways in medicinal plants. We utilize these characterized candidate genes for the enhancement of specialized secondary metabolites. Our research group is also exploring the genes involved in adventitious root development in response to waterlogging/hypoxia in medicinal plants. Education B.Sc. Chemistry (Hons.) M.Sc.
